IQRA International Educational Foundation has more than 30 years of experience in developing Islamic curriculum. During this period, they have done field-testing of their curriculum and studied the benefits of combining different subjects together. Based on their studies and experience, they have combined the following three subjects into one book ie Aqidah, Fiqh and Akhlaq and named it the WE ARE MUSLIM series.
The focus of the Aqidah, Fiqh and Akhlaq curriculum is on instilling the concept of tawhid which ultimately develops the tarbiyah of the student. The primary goal of this Islamic educational program is to help our children grow to be the finest examples of Islamic behavior in thought and actions, and to become valuable members of their communities.
The curriculum has been designed to include five main themes which are carried throughout all six grades. These are:
- Individual development and identity of self as a Muslim
- Experiences which provide for the conceptual development of iman
- Concepts, principles and ways of 'ibadah
- The ideals, laws and practices of halal and haram
- Mu’amalat: adab and social etiquettes
